Oh, and another thing
On the 5th of May, there is a Magda and also there is a Matthew Dear, at Fabric. Which makes it very unlikely that Magda'll be playing with Hawtin a few weeks before.

Also also, some of the B-Mo crew have tickets for to see Laurent Garnier at the End on Saturday. Hurrah!

Man I am listening to (just-purchased, for two shiny pounds) Richie Hawtin's Decks, EFX & 909 on my headphones right now. Bangin'!

In the CD notes there is a GRAPH of how he mixed all the tracks!

However headphones in question are a bit dodgy and I can't tell if they are cutting out or if it is *meant* to go out to one channel like that.

Further springtime boshings, or STUFF KAT MISSED!
Further to katstevens's recent post, there are also these things.

Friday 23rd March - LOST spacebase ting.
Has a Steve Bicknell and an Alexander Robotnick. We have no idea where it is. It sounds like it might be a bit scary.

Friday 6th April - I ♥ ACID.
Has a Luke Vibert and a Mike Paradinas and lots of other bonkers people and is in Corsica Studios which is good and also convenient for us south-of-the-river types.

Sunday 8th April - there might be a LOST at SEONE.
It's easter Sunday and there might be a ting and there might be a second generation Detroit techno legend making noises. Maybe.

Saturday 21st April - Fabric
In the second room (which is NICER than the main room) there is A Guy Called Gerald and Baby Ford. And in the third room is Prins Thomas.

And seriously, wtf, THIS IS GENIUS! Currently listening to Hyper On Experience, Lord of the Null Lines which is just MENTAL. Dear junglists, I take it all back, you are godz amongst men.

Good for more than just making tea...
So, M_nus finally got around to releasing the Magda mix CD, and I am listening to it right now (who wants to touch me? more than normal, I mean, obviously...). And, you know what, it is rly rly good!

Does anyone know anything much about Loco Dice, other than that GENIUS?

Young People's Dancing Opportunities In Your Area
Hey kids! It's time for a Bosh Update!

  • The next Bangface is on Fri 8th Sept and features ravecore favourites Krome & Time. I'm not going to this as I'm going to see Cansei De Ser Sexy at 93ft East instead.

Also the Fabric lineup for September looks blimmin' fantastic, which makes me an unhappy Kat as a) Fabric is obv a bit rubbage b) I can't really go to any of these dates either! Boo!

  • Sat 9th: Ricardo Villalobos, Cassy, Sieg Uber Die Sonne
  • Fri 15th: WALL OF SOUND... Mekon (Live) feat Marc Almond, Roxanne Shante & Alan Vega (Suicide), Alan Braxe & Kris Menace
  • Sat 22nd: M-NUS ... Richie Hawtin, Magda, Heartthrob (Live)

    Plus advance warning for October:

  • 21st Oct: Soviet @ The Coronet featuring Phil Hartnoll (who has promised to do an Orbital set!), B12, Kenny Larkin, Surgeon & a billion other people etc. I might even be able to go to this, hurrah!

Fellow Acid on Sea-ers - the plan for tonight is to meet at the Dickens Inn, St Katharine's Docks, after work. I'll hopefully be there from 7ish. And then to Tower Pier (which is def where the boat sets sail from) around 8pm.

When craft meets bosh in glorious union
    Arrr me hearties!

I have just been to John Lewis and bought ELASTIC and BLACK FELT with which to make EYEPATCHES for Friday!

There is enough material for me to make one for everyone. If you would like an exclusive Kat-crafted Acid-On-Sea eyepatch shout "Ahoy!" in the comments!

    Bosh purchase news.
I bought the new Tiefschwarz Fabric mix a couple of weeks ago, but until today I had only really listened to it whilst a) half asleep b) utterly wasted. Sat at my desk in the sober environs of my office I can now confirm that it is Very Good Indeed. Slightly more boshing and squelchy than eg Scifihifi but still blippy enough to satisfy one's urge for minimalism. Despite having a Depeche Mode song on it!

Current fave tracks: Claude Vonstroke's Whose Afraid Of Detroit, Touane's Bassic and Sleeper Thief's Freefall.
